The CCPOA Benefit Trust Fund, in conjunction with VSP, are working together to provide for the retiree members of the CCPOA. We strive to provide retired CCPOA members with the best vision coverage possible. The VSP plan is designed to be simple and efficient. By obtaining services through on of VSP’s 22,000 member doctor locations nationwide, you and your dependents will receive comprehensive professional services and the finest quality of materials.

VSP has the nation’s largest eyecare doctor network, with thousands of doctors located in metropolitan as well as rural areas.

All VSP plans provide a thorough eye exam, which is important to your overall eye health.

VSP was one of the first eyecare health plans to use stringent National Committee for Quality Assurance guidelines to credential all of their doctors.
How to use you CCPOA Vision benefits
Call you VSP Doctor and make an appointment. When you call, tell the doctor the following information:
- Your name and date of birth
- Your group name, CCPOA Benefit Trust
- Covered CCPOA member’s Social Security number
After you make an appointment, your doctor and VSP will handle the rest. The doctor will check your eligibility for services and plan coverage and advise you of your benefits.
What’s covered when using a VSP doctor
Examination - Covered in full every 12 Months
Lenses - Covered in full every 12 Months
Frames - $150 retail allowance every 24 Months
Necessary Contact Lenses - Covered in full
Services from an Out-of-Network Provider
Typically, more than 90 percent of our patients receive care from VSP doctors. If you wish to see an out-of -service provider, VSP will reimburse you up to the amount allowed under your plan’s out-of-network providers’ reimbursement rate. Be aware that your out-of-network provider rate does not guarantee full payment and VSP cannot guarantee patient satisfaction when services are received from an out-of-network provider.
